Description: The Master of Arts in Teaching with an Emphasis in Online Teaching is a 33 credit hour two-year program of study planned for New Mexico K-12 teachers.
Delivery method: Online or hybrid.
Requirements: Candidates must complete a minimum of:
- 18 credits in advanced professional course work in education.
- 15 credits in professional course work in online teaching and learning.
There is a Comprehensive Examination at the end of the program.
Costs: Current main campus tuition and fees plus a $25 per credit hour distance education fee. See the University Accounts Receivable Schedule of Costs for the current tuition rate.
Prerequisites:
- Hold a current teaching license.
- Enrollment and acceptance into the Curriculum and Instruction Master of Arts in Teaching program (the first nine credits can be completed as a non-degree student).
- Eligibility for admission to the Graduate School.
To apply: Apply to Graduate School for admission. Specify the Department of Curriculum and Instruction-Master of Arts in Teaching as the area of advanced study.
Have two transcripts from each institution attended (including New Mexico State University undergraduate or continuing education courses) sent directly to the Graduate School.
