Advising appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday.

Before making an advising appointment, please be aware of the following:

  • When making your initial contact with the College of Extended Learning regarding the BAS or BIS degree, please do so in writing via email. This helps us establish a record of communication with our students.
  • Students must be admitted to NMSU before seeking advising. For more information see NMSU's Undergraduate Admissions page.
  • Students must have all their transcripts available in some form. If transfer credit is still being processed, a hard copy of transcripts is acceptable.
  • Students should familiarize themselves with degree requirements and application procedures for either the Bachelor of Applied Studies or Bachelor of Individualized Studies stated in this website.
  • Students with athletic compliance requirements must keep their athletic advisors up to date on their plans.
